Contacting the Publisher of This Site

Three kinds of message belong at that address, and each is easier to act on with a little detail attached:

• A factual error. Give the page address, the sentence as it appears, and the source you are relying on. Corrections are made with the better source named, or the line is removed. How figures are chosen and dated in the first place is on the methodology page.
• A privacy or data request. Include enough to locate a record: the approximate date and the details you submitted. What is held, for how long, and how calls are handled is set out on the privacy page.
• A question about the site itself. Who operates it, how it is funded and why it publishes no ratings are answered on the about page, which will usually be faster than waiting for a reply.

The company pays a fee for the connection, which is how this site is funded, and that is stated in the footer of every page. No company is selected on quality, because nothing here is in a position to judge quality; this publisher checks no license, inspects no credential and sees no insurance certificate. Georgia's own check is public: the Georgia Department of Agriculture's Structural Pest Control Search shows whether a company holds a current Company License and which categories it is designated for.

If a treatment was done badly, an invoice is disputed, or a termite bond is not being honored, the company that did the work is who to raise it with, in writing; the publisher was never a party to any of it. Where that fails, the Georgia Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Section regulates Georgia license holders, and its complaint route is on its own website.

• The pest. Your best guess is enough. Wings, waist and antennae separate a termite swarmer from a flying ant; native swarmers in Augusta fly in daylight from February and March.
• The evidence. A photograph in focus with something for scale; where it was found, whether a window frame, a crawl space, a baseboard, an attic or a kitchen at night; when it started and whether it is getting worse.
• The home. Slab, crawl space or basement. Much of Grovetown's newer stock is slab-on-grade; Augusta's older districts and parts of Evans include crawl spaces. Whether there is an existing termite bond, and with whom, matters for termite calls.
• The ZIP code. Coverage is decided by area. North Augusta addresses are in South Carolina, under a different licensing regime, so say which side of the river the property is on.

Anything already applied is also worth mentioning, since retail product used before a visit can affect what is done next. So are children, pets, aquariums or anyone with a respiratory condition in the household, because they change product selection and re-entry instructions. For a medical emergency, including a severe reaction to a sting or bite, contact emergency services. For a suspected pesticide exposure, follow the first aid instructions on the product label and use the poison center contact printed there. Ask the company for the product name and its EPA registration number before treatment so you can read the label yourself.

This site is a publisher, and pretending otherwise would set an expectation nobody here can meet.
